# Creating Study Site Addresses

You can create and manage study-specific addresses for study sites using the _Study Site Address_ (`study_site_address__v`) object. You can create <a href="/en/gr/13951/">_Locations_</a>
 from _Study Site Addresses_ or vice versa.

## Creating a Study Site Address {#create-study-site-address}

To create a new _Study Site Address_ record:
1. Navigate to the _Study Site Address_ section of a _Study Site_ record.
2. Click **Create**.
3. Search for and select a **Location** or enter the required address details. Selecting a **Location** populates the address details from the _Location_ record in the global directory into the _Study Site Address_ record.
4. Select an **Address Type** from the drop-down list to specify the purpose of the _Study Site Address_.
5. Enter an **Address Name**.
6. Optional: Enter **Additional Details**.
7. Optional: Enter delivery person information for **Attention / Care Of**.
8. Click **Save**.

Once saved, Vault displays the new record in the _Study Site Address_ section of the _Study Site_ record.

## Creating a Location from a Study Site Address {#location-to-study-site-address}
Select the **Create Location from Address** user action on **Study Site Address** records to create new global directory <a href="/en/gr/13951/">_Location_ records</a>
 from existing _Study Site Addresses_ records. Performing this action creates a new _Location_ record populated with the _Study Site Address_ details.
