Managing Branding Settings

The Branding Settings page allows you to configure your Vault to display a custom email banner, rather than the default Veeva Vault banner, in Vault-generated emails. This page also allows you to replace the default logo on the Site User Homepage in Clinical Operations Vaults.

Accessing Branding Settings

Access these customization settings from Admin > Settings > Branding Settings. You must have a security profile with the Settings: Branding permissions to modify this page.

How to Update Email Banners

To add a custom email banner:

  1. In the Email Branding section under Vault Branding Settings, click Edit.
  2. Select Custom Custom Email Banner.
  3. Click Choose and select the image file to upload.
  4. Click Save.

Email Banner File Requirements

The image file you upload for the email banner should meet these requirements:

  • 800 pixel maximum height, 6000 pixel maximum width; for best results, the aspect ratio of the banner should be 7.5:1 or less
  • File size not greater than 10MB
  • PNG, JPG, or GIF file format

Vault prevents you from uploading images that exceed the maximum dimensions. If you upload an image larger than can be displayed (800 pixel height x 6000 pixel width), Vault resizes it to fit. This may result in an image that is too small to read clearly.

Veeva Vault details and logo will still appear in the footer.

Site User Branding Settings in Clinical Operations Vaults

To add a custom header logo for Site Users:

  1. In the Header Logo section under Site User Branding Settings, click Edit.
  2. Select Custom Logo.
  3. Click Choose and select the image file to upload.
  4. Click Save.

Email Banners

All emails sent to users from Vault will use the default or custom email banner, except emails to Vault Investigator Portal (eTMF) users and Site Users (users with the Site User license type). If your Vault has portal users or site users, you can add a custom email banner that is different from the email banner displayed to all other users in the Vault.

To add a custom email banner for Site Users:

  1. In the Email Branding section under Site User Branding Settings, click Edit.
  2. Clear the Apply the custom email banner for Vault emails sent to Site Users checkbox.
  3. Select Custom Email Banner.
  4. Click Choose, and select an image file that meets the email banner file requirements described above.
  5. Click Save.

Header Logo File Requirements

The image file you upload for the header logo should meet these requirements:

  • 280 pixel maximum height, 2800 pixel maximum width; for best results, the aspect ratio of the logo should be 10:1 or less.
  • File size not greater than 10MB
  • PNG, JPG, or GIF file format
  • Transparent background with white or light-colored logo
  • Exclude padding/margins around graphic

Vault prevents you from uploading images that exceed the maximum dimensions. If you upload an image larger than can be displayed (28 pixel height, 280 pixel width), Vault resizes it to fit. This may result in an image that is too small to read clearly.
