Updating Metrics
Vault updates the metrics for the components on the Study Manager Homepage and CRA Homepage with a few different jobs. The jobs function as follows:

Update Metrics Job |
Runs when you add a new Subject, remove a Subject, or update a subject's Study, Study Country, Study Site, Subject Status or, if calculating Date-Based metrics, subject status dates, such as Enrolled Date. Does not run for archived studies. |
Starts 1 hour after the first change to a subject |
Only updates metrics and, if applicable, metrics over time records for areas that you added or changed. For example, if you add an Enrolled Date to a subject, only the Total Enrolled metric/metric over time is updated. This job will also update or create Enrollment Status Logs. Does not update metrics for archived studies. |

Update Monitored Metrics Job |
Runs when you add a new Monitored Subject, remove a Monitored Subject, or update a Monitored Subject's Subject Status or if calculating Date-Based metrics, subject Status dates, such as Enrolled Date. |
Starts 5 minutes after the first change to a Monitored subject. |
Vault creates a set of monitored metrics the first time this job runs. Vault keeps monitored metrics in-sync with changes you make to monitored subjects. |

Recalculate Enrollment Metrics Job |
Runs when you execute the Recalculate Enrollment Metrics user action on a study. |

Recalculates all actual metric values (Actual Total Enrolled, Actual Completed, etc.) on all metrics and, if applicable, metrics over time-related object records at the Study, Study Country, and Site levels. If calculating Date-Based metrics, Vault will also recalculate Enrollment Status Logs. For studies using "Metrics Only" or "Transferred Metrics", all Metrics values will be reset to zero by this job. |

This job updates metrics changes automatically from study sites to study countries and study countries to study level. It also creates Enrollment Status Log records for days with changes. |
