Creating a Location from a Study Site Address
You can create global directory Locations from Study Site Addresses created in both Vault and Site Connect.
Perform the Create Location from Address user action on the Study Site Address to create a Location. Performing this action will create a new Location and relate it to the Study Site Address.
Configuring the Site Address Change Request Workflow
Site Connect users can request changes to Study Site Addresses in Site Connect. Vault automatically accepts change requests by default.
However, Admins can configure the Site Address Change Request workflow to require the review and approval of any Study Site Address changes. When you configure the workflow in this way, any change made by the site user can be viewed in the Site Change Request section on the Study Site Address record.
The following system actions are available in the Site Address Change Request workflow to accept or reject changes:
- Resolve Change Request: Makes the address updates requested by the site user
- Clean Change Request: Clears the updates requested by the site user
We recommend using the standard Site Connect Address Approved and Site Connect Address Rejected notifications to notify Site Connect users of the Site Address Change Request outcome.
Configuring Validations on Study Site Address
You may have instances where downstream systems, such as IRT/RTSM systems, require specific addresses that are shorter than the addresses Vault provides. For example, IP Shipment Addresses going to a shipping depot.
For these cases, Study Site Addresses support Validation Rules. Site Connect displays the validation rules to site users when they update a record and the changes do not satisfy the validation rules. We recommend configuring validation rules only when downstream systems require them.
